Prom night has arrived and DJ is excited to play head chaperone. Meanwhile, Jackson convinces a reluctant Rocki to be his date while Ramona and Casey go as friends. The prom soon turns sour, though, as Gia is also chaperoning, which irks DJ, Ramona sees Popko on a date with her rival, and Jackson gets caught insulting Rocki in front of his teammates. Back at home, Kimmy and Stephanie try to have a girls' night in but are interrupted by Joey and Fernando, who draft the ladies into judging their chili cook-off. Jackson is named the player of the week after kicking his team to the state semifinals, but as he feels the pressure he begins to limp. Elsewhere, Jesse attends his first daddy/daughter class and has to deal with hipster dads.

But she learns her lesson in the "little chat" that they have after she comes home. He reminds her how wrong it was to run away from home just because she was punished for breaking the rules of the house, adding that if she has a problem, she can go to anyone in the house for help.

Turns out he didn't send them and is actually getting married. Aaron Bailey (portrayed by Miko Hughes) is Michelle's recurring and longest running classmate. Joey works as a stand-up comedian, whose act usually includes vocal imitations of cartoon characters such as Popeye, Bullwinkle J. Moose, Pepé Le Pew, and others.
On a girls' night out where they have an unwanted reunion with Kimmy's husband, Fernando. Meanwhile, Joey takes away the kids' electronics and instead has the kids involved in some mischievous, messy fun. Jesse meets Becky's parents in "The Wedding (Part 1)" where Becky's father Kenneth tells him to stop acting irresponsible and that once he's married to Becky, he will have to settle down, literally. After attempting to sky dive with Joey flying the plane, it all goes wrong and Jesse is thrown in the Tomato Country Jail. Irene Katsopolis (portrayed by Rhoda Gemignani in "The Return of Grandma", Yvonne Wilder in later appearances) is Jesse and Pam's mother, the wife of Nick Katsopolis, and maternal grandmother to D.J., Stephanie, and Michelle. She often talked about diapering Jesse's "tushy", and touched his and other people's "tushies," which made Jesse mad; at other times, she would talk about when Jesse was a kid.

Jackson has shown to be a good older brother to Max and Tommy. Jackson likes to do stunts, and joins the football team to impress Ramona's friend, Lola. He likes to call himself "J. Money" and "Action Jackson". He briefly dates Lola, but she breaks up with him for being too clingy.

Later in the episode, Stephanie gets Jesse to bond with Tommy Jr. by reading him a bedtime story in an effort to get him to consider Becky's side. Becky walks in on Jesse's story and tells him that it's OK if he doesn't want to adopt a baby. "Jess, I didn't just want to raise another child, I wanted to raise one with you," she explains to him, adding that she wants them to be all-in if they are going to grow their family. At dinner, Jesse finally comes around and announces that he too wants to adopt a baby with Becky and they celebrate their decision.
